Olivia being born on the 14th is strange in that I told Renee that I felt she was going to be born on the 14th two weeks early.
Renee in the delivery room waiting on me to get there, and talking with mom after we arrived below.
Here are a few pictures of Olivia being weigh and measured. And her very first picture out in the World. Olivia came out very
alert and read to greet the world. I just couldn't get over how much hair she had as I was looking at her head as she was
being born. Not to mention that she has a good pair of lungs.
Here are a couple of pictures when Olivia was first born.
Renee started off with contractions that morning at 4:00am. They were nothing major and I went to work a little later. She
had a doctors appointment at 10am. However,at the doctors office she had dilated to 3 or 4 and 70% efacement. They wheeled
her to the Hospital. She give me a call at work and in my excitement I started out the office without my keys, and immediately
went back and got them. I picked up Joshua and Gradma Smith and we headed to the hospital and to the delivery room. The doctor
broke Renee's water at 12:03pm. Renee has some servere contactions, but she only had to push twice and Olivia was here at
4:39pm. Here are pictures of us at the hospital in the delivery room, nursery, and private room. It was an experience that
I wouldn't give anything for! Watching Olivia's head pop through and seeing her for the first time, this little person that
I had talked to and read to while she was in the womb.
Olivia was delivered by Dr. Donald Eckhardt and his assistant. Our Nurse was Linda who was the instructor for Our La-Maze
Class. Now that was an added benefit.
Here we might include a link to the hospital's web site.
